the program:The art history department at UCLA offers programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Ph.D. degrees, with courses surveying Western and non-Western art from earliest human history to the present. Students learn to treat artistic works and trends from a critical and historical point of view, analytically rather than subjectively.
